On Friday afternoon the Honey Brook Fire Company and the Brandywine Hospital Medic 93 were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with reported entrapment in front of 501 Chestnut Tree Road in Honey Brook Township. Deputy Fire Chief Messner from Honey Brook Fire Co. responded and was advised that there were two patients in the automobile. Chester County Fire Board added Elverson EMS to the assignment to assist Honey Brook Ambulance. Assistant Fire Chief Jackson, from Honey Brook Fire Co., arrived on the scene minutes later and confirmed that there were two patients, one of which had fled the scene and one still trapped in the vehicle. 89-20 (N. Spece) arrived on the scene and initiated patient care on the patient that was still in the vehicle. 89-20 (N. Spece) was later assisted by Honey Brook Ambulance and Medic 93 while Elverson EMS Ambulance 89-1 tried to find the patient that had fled the scene. After the patient was extricated from the vehicle he moved into the air medical helicopter and flown to a local trauma center.
