Through out the past few snow storm Elverson EMS had plenty of support from the community in helping to protect our residence. During the first and second big snow storms Warwick Twp along with Vickers Landscaping and Snow Removal assisted with the clearing of snow from our front and rear parking lot. Yesterday during the snow storm drifts were a huge problem in getting to calls. The morning started off with a cardiac arrest in Wallace Township. While responding to the emergency Ambulance 89-1 was requested to pick up Paramedic 93 at the West Nantmeal Township complex. Ambulance 89-1 did so and shortly after encountered a large drift in the roadway. After numerous attempts to get through the drift Ambulance 89-1 was about to give when a local farmer came to the rescue with a four wheel drive tractor. The crew along with the farmer quickly chained the tractor to the front of the ambulance and began to assist in getting through the drift.
Elverson EMS would like to thanks everyone involved for their unselfish dedication to helping the community.
